Zalryas Schirrer Skills

This post will be my first post here on PatC blog site, so I guess I'll put a brief introduction.

While Rui is in charge of the storyline and artworks, I have been working on the game mechanism for it, mainly the stats and the skills for each character in the game. Later on, I will also be hoping to develop the items (weapons, armors) as well as the monsters in the game.

Anyway, on to the main point of this post;

Zalryas is the main character in this game, being your typical swordsman or in this case, spearman. He is able to dish out good amount of damages while being able to take quite a few hit himself as well. His skills mainly branches off in two directions depending on the player desire on the character and the team selection.

The Halberd path moves toward aggressive play. Dealing huge damage in quick succession while neglecting defence, resolving around high risk-high reward game play and take out enemies before they take you out.

On the other hand, the Lance path focuses in protecting the party members from harm by staying in the front line and tanking all the damage. While this build has less damage than the halberd build, his sustainability is greatly increased with the advantage of being able to use a shield along with the lance.

Zalryas Skill Tree:

Note that since the game is still in very early stage development, so everything is subjected to change.

Setting for PatC

After much procrastination, the PatC blog is finally up! Check back to see the latest news about the game development~

Background setting for PatC:

Long, long ago, Heaven and Hell collided in a spectacular event. What resulted was a bridge between the two worlds, henceforth named [thishereplanet], for its supernatural origins. The residents of Heaven had pure white wings and equally unblemished hearts, while the residents of Hell had wings black as night and equally sinister motives. Initially, the two very different races tolerated each other, some even producing hybrids, known as humans, that lacked wings altogether. However, this strained peace would inevitably shatter. Hungry for power and envious of the euphoria in Heaven, Hell unleashed countless Demons across [thishereplanet] to conquer Heaven. Heaven’s Angels retaliated with admirable perseverance. Eight hundred years of constant dissension has turned [thishereplanet] into a world of chaos. In recent ages (some 200 yr), the war has cooled. Some speculate the Demons have merely given up, while others wait fearfully for what they suspect may be the most massive assault yet.

Suggestions for planet name anyone?
